Communities: Huntly Adult Learning Partners (HALP)

HALP was established by the UCC to bring together those involved in adult learning provision in the AB54 area, one of the UCC's target postcodes. The current membership of HALP includes Aberdeenshire Library Service, Adult Basic Education, Banff & Buchan College, Careers Scotland, Community Education, Gordon Rural Action, The Robert Gordon University, Scottish Enterprise Grampian and the Workers' Educational Association (WEA).

HALP meets roughly 4 times a year, when members give updates on their activities and explore possibilities for partnership working. Two adult learning festivals have been held in Huntly. The most recent, in August 2002, was attended by over 40 people, and provided valuable information on demand for local learning activities.
