Secondary Schools: S5/S6 Induction Events

University for Children and Communities aims to encourage participation in further and higher education by introducing senior school pupils to the college and university environment over a 2-day period.

Typically, the 2-day events consists of a theme as well as lectures from Student Advisory Services on finance, welfare and sport and recreation.

Activities in the past have included:

• Future Horizons: a 2-day event concerning the production of a model car with the University of Aberdeen
  
  
• 3sixty Stretch: team building activities and talks on aspects of university life
  
  
• Finding your way: a 2-day event hosted by the Robert Gordon University concerning the production of a map
  
  
• The HE Experience: a 2-day event consisting of departmental visits, hands-on practical sessions, lectures and campus tours
